Neil Burton
Recruitment Manager

I spent most of my working career working as an estate agent, after 12 years as an agent I was seeking a new challenge. Having known Pete for several years through family he suggested I meet him to discuss a career in staffing.

Fast forward a few years and I have now got a good understanding of how recruitment should be done, I put this down to not only training received, but many years being in a people facing environment and learning how to engage with them on an emotional level.

I understand that finding a new job can be stressful for many reasons and is not purely a transaction, but a process driven by emotion. I love the feeling of finding someone their dream job, whether that be more money, a role closer to home so they can spend more time with family or taking that next step in their career.

Not only do I get enjoyment from helping candidates but there is also the feeling of satisfaction gained filling a position for a client that has struggled to find the right person for the job, knowing that you have been able to help find the perfect fit for the company is a professionally satisfying feeling.

Choosing to work for Apointe was a relatively easy decision, I love the way we are able to work closely with our clients and candidates to build relationships that ensure both parties are happy and we truly get the right “fit” for both the individual and client, this is something that I had found lacking whilst working at corporate recruitment companies previously.

Previous clients of mine have always found me approachable, honest and to the point
